Confirm clearances and local safety requirements before installation, especially near heat-producing equipment or an exit.

Treating the product title as a measured guarantee is the first mistake. Require a named test, edition, configuration, and result. If the seller offers none, describe the acoustic benefit as unverified.

The second is hanging a narrow panel over a wide opening. Measure the full opening and plan the overlap or side returns that the product supports. A curtain that stops short at the edges leaves the most obvious paths open.
